I want friggin space marines and predators d***it!
Yeah!!!
those who stopped watching after the 2nd or 3rd
Yeah I haven't seen an
Alien movie after the 3rd one. I have seen all the
AvP movies though.
I doubt the hardcore fans who've stuck with all of the films are lining up to say thanks for another rehash
I have one friend who is super-into the series, and he said: "I remain skeptical... the teaser feels a bit 'safe' to me. Also, I've heard the cast of characters are teenagers, which legit makes me uneasy. But I am not outright considering it to be dead on arrival either. I'll probably see it in theaters regardless of reviews or such."
Which is not cool, cuz if the movie sucks and he sees it in theaters anyways, he gives them money for it.

The thoughts also include some interview information that I didn't know before. While I knew Ridley Scott saw and praised the movie already, apparently James Cameron has as well, and the two gave the director notes that were different from each other. It's also squarely a movie intended to feel like something between Alien and Aliens at least aesthetically, which makes sense given it's supposed to take place 20 years after Alien, and that the setting is part 'old tech' (Alien) and 'brand new tech' (invoking some of Aliens). Even if this ends up being a 'safe' movie, it's sounding like it'll be a well-made one.
Mind you, I don't think Cameron giving it praise is a good thing on its own -- he's full deep into Avatar territory these days. But him alongside Ridley Scott, and other aspects, seem to suggest promising things. I actually like all the Alien movies in some way or another (though Resurrection is objectively the worse)."
I didn't watch the video he posted.
