The AMD Radeon RX 9070 will be available for under $700 when the RDNA 4 GPU launches early next month, according to what has been alleged to be an official marketing slide from AMD.

Nvidia clearly rushed the market and I'm honestly not sure why. Is the pressure expected from AMD THAT much for a market Nvidia isn't supposed to care about?

Anything over $549 (it really shouldn't be over $499) for the 9070XT is a hard pass for me. It looks like AMD is going to give up another chance to take it to Nvidia. They didn't have any problem with taking it to Intel. Could there be some kind of collusion going on between AMD and Nvidia?

I think it may blow the 5070 ( and variants) away. I suspect after announcing they are not even trying for top contender AMD might haved used their brains and decided an attack on the real bread and butter, and that is the 5070 arena.
I think they will put to the test the nvidia can lower prices anytime theory.
Well I hope anyway.

They better be sitting on piles of inventory. Otherwise it doesn't matter what they price them at if no one can buy one.

I expect online stocks to be scalped severely

However if you can drive down to physical stores (like micro center) then there should be sufficient stock

I don't have hopes if using 6000 and 7000 series launches as a litmus test. They were both "paper" launches and inventory was non-existent for months after launch.
