Introduction ASRock is launching several new AM5 socket motherboards, in different price segments, for the launch of the AMD X870 and X870E chipsets here in September 2024. At the high-end, enthusiast-level is the new E-ATX ASRock X870E Taichi motherboard for $449 MSRP, and we are going to take a look at it in this review. […]

Thanks for the great review! I loved the detail and pictures this is the kind of review I like to see. I appreciate the hard work!
I have been concerned about buying a Asrock MB as a friend of mine had no end of issues with his, but the new Tachi seems to punch all my buttons. So the detailed review defiantly helped me in my decision (not that Im decided quite yet).
I too would like more classy motherboards and the Tachi seems to be the best of the AMD bunch this time around.

Did any of the material say anything about CUDIMM support?

You did say something I found interesting.
You say - The ASRock X870E Taichi features upgraded 20K Black capacitors with 1000uF capacitance, extending the lifespan to 20,000 hours...

Do you (or anyone) know how that duty cycle works?
At 8,395 hours in a year that 20,000 hour lifespan is 2.38 years.
As I have never had a MB component wear out in nearly 30 years of computing there must be a bit more to the story than that, but how it actually works I have no idea!!

nice review! A bit pricey for my tastes but prices and cheaper models will trickle down eventually I'm sure. I can wait, I don't need to be on the bleeding edge

I personally use an ASRock X570 Taichi motherboard as my primary motherboard on my main machine, running a Zen 3 chip and have had 0 issues all this time. ASRock is a good value, the price is typically cheaper, and you get a lot of features for that price.

I haven't heard anything about CUDIMM's.

R.E. the capacitors, that life cycle is rated at the capacitor's maximum ambient temperature, I think around 105c constant usage.

Thanks sir!
Cool to understand how the lifespan is speced, and makes alot of sense.
