ASUS has announced its offerings for AMD's Threadripper 7000 series processors in the form of the Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE and Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI. Aimed at HEDT or workstation users these new motherboards support up to ECC R-DIMM DDR5 memory modules and PCIe 5.0. Both feature large VRM extruded aluminum heatsinks along with additional heatsinks and thermal pads for M.2 drives, including a large unibody heatsing for 3x M.2 slots. ASUS has also provided a heatsink for keeping the 10 Gbps port cool. Those looking to harness the power of the upcoming AMD Threadripper Pro 7995WX 96-Core / 192 thread beast may want to take a closer look at the specs for the Pro WS WRX90E-SAGE SE.

Pretty classy-lookin' mobo. No RGB or any tacky sh1t. Just a nice clean design without garish colors.

Ok what I don't get... 96 core 128 thread... So what only SOME of the cores support Multithreading?

good looking motherboards... I'm thinking... minimum price... 1200 new.

Most boards have abandoned the errant RGB flashiness that seem to have annoyed many. At this point, RGB can be avoided by simply not plugging it in, or at worst, turning it off.

Yeah, this looks pretty weird. I'd checked out ASUS' press release and the board product page, and they're all sparse on details. Basically just need to wait for ASUS to release more info or a reviewer to get ahold of one.

Thereabouts; the new Intel HEDT boards could be had for as low as US$800 last I looked. High-end pricing, but not particularly overpriced for what you'd be getting. And at this point you're looking at a serious balance of features versus size, too - the Gigabyte Aero D that is ATX is actually missing some functionality, that I'd gather is likely due to the size constraints. Same for this ASUS board missing a second USB 3.0 connector, which is something I look for because many higher-end cases give you four USB 3.0 ports on the front.

Fixed. Sorry, it was a crazy morning for me in trying to rush these out in order to get some unexpected errands done.

That was a mistake by me.
