ASUS Unveils ROG Swift PG32UQX, the World’s First Mini LED Gaming Monitor

This price isn't worth it to me.. but flip side if I was single making what I do now... that would be expensive but not insane budget wise. So some folks will buy them.

I'd understand if the tech were full-fat, but this is still:
  • 32" 4k... so 16:9
  • Not per-pixel backlighting
  • Only 'exceptional' for how bright it can get
At that pixel pitch, folks with good vision are running it at 125% to 150% scaling. 150% makes this display 1440p (literally).

That's where I get off the rationalization train :D

You're still benefitting from the 137 PPI. And 8:5 is a dead aspect ratio.

I know, and having one, I can say that it's sharp; but it's still not much of an upgrade from 27" 1440p, desktop-wise, and gaming-wise, it's just kind of awkward. I'm still not sold on using higher-resolutions for gaming as games just generally do not handle scaling uniformly, especially the older you get. Same problem as with desktop apps of course.

And 8:5 is a dead aspect ratio.
Oh, I meant to imply even wider ;)
