Christopher Nolan Is Open to the Idea of Making a Video Game

With critically acclaimed films such as Memento and The Dark Knight under his belt, director Christopher Nolan has already mastered the art of filmmaking, so what might his next challenge be? Video games, possibly.



In a recent interview with The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley (via VG247), Nolan was asked by a fan whether he’d ever want one of his movies to be adapted into a game, and the director revealed that he has actually considered the idea over the years and even went “fairly down the road” at one point.

NO. Just NO. WE don't need someone so disconnected from technology trying to make something. PLEASE NO. Christopher Nolan is sooner to make a cinematic experience about the shadow his penis makes in the morning that still people will want to call a critical triumph. He needs to go back to art school and arthouse projects where his vision of Cowboys eating Ice Cream and discovering their sexuality is considered prime content.

Get away from the in depth entertainment delivered via video games. Do NOT soil this ground with your auteurs tears.
 
Has a film director every made a successful transition to video games?
Better than games transitioned to cinema. But I don't think the actual movie director should be involved with the game.
 
It'll be fine - just don't preorder, let the early adopters deal with the bugs, and wait for the FPSr verdict.
When I was doing that worst of 2020 story a few days ago I had to laugh at one where the reviewer stated about their lament at having to play through a game. It was bad enough they didn't enjoy giving the bad review but even worse to have to get through the game for a job. Not sure who'd raise their hand fir a Nolan one.
