I ordered this off of Corsair off of their refurbished section for 49.99.

Nice keyboard has a great typing feel but DOES NOT come with the magnetically attached wrist rest. (is noted online.) Found the wrist rest on ebay for 25 bucks. Need it because my big *** hands keep bumping the menu keys without one.

If you don't like iCUE skip it of course. Corsair I know isn't for everyone.

I’ve got an ancient one of these that the son is still using - so it had held up well. It had the fast response caps and I found those to be just a bit too sensitive, so I ended up going to reds in a Ducky, but the Corsair is still going strong.

nice find I may grab one. Have a K55 (which is membrane) and some of the keys are sticking. I have taken it apart and cleaned it but still hitching on some keys. K70 being mechanical shouldn't have these type of issues I assume.

I haven't experienced that but I will say the 1mm key stroke detection is catching me off guard and you will want that wrist rest from Ebay. Shipping from China is on the slow boat though.

Pulled the trigger. + 15 for shipping and tax, but still less than half a new one.

I don't typically use wrist rests, not using on the k55... if I need one maybe that will fit the k70, they are physically pretty similar.

Cool the wrist rest is magnetically attached for this model. No clips.

I got it, looks brand new. Going to take a bit to get used to the key spacing I guess. My typing is all over the place with this new keyboard, all kinds of mistakes if I am not going slow and careful. Also the keys seem SUPER sensitive which probably has something to do with that.

If these are red switches, it sounds "clacky" opposed to a blue switch kb I used to have which was very "clicky". It's loud but I can probably deal with it. Guess I was just too used to the quietness of the membrane kb on the k55

It's way quieter than my old k70 led model. Much more colorful too with lighting configured. And yes it is VERY sensitive. They keys are light actuated, (disrupt beam of light to trigger.) And have a 1mm actuation depth that is a pita. I'm hoping the wrist rest helps alleviate that issue for my palm triggering space and other keys.

I'm not sure I love this thing yet. It is very cool looking. I'll have to give it more time to see if I can get used to it, but for now I am having to type pretty slowly instead of banging away like I am used to.

One thing I don't love are the F and J home key bumps.... they are barely there and I need those for proper home hand position.

When I put my K55 right next to this thing, I can clearly see the key spacing difference. It might only be a millimeter but I can definitely tell the difference.

I see 90 day warranty but I wonder what the return window is, I'm not seeing that anywhere on the store or on my order.

Since it's technically a refurb I don't know if they do 'satisfaction' returns. I've grown accustomed to it though after a week or so. Typing has become much more fluid though when gaming I tend to leave my fingers restring on the wasd keys and sometimes I trigger it. Otherwise... no big issue that the wrist rest won't resolve for me.

Though i did try and warn about the un-adjustable sensitivity!

The sensitivity was why I ultimately gave up mine. I couldn’t even rest my fingers on the keys

If they put in light springs - it'll be a nightmare for folks not used to that, or just can't get used to it.

The switch is only a part of the noise profile; outside of the clicky 'Blue' type, most switches are far quieter than the keyboard itself (keys bottoming out, resetting, reverberations inside the keyboard).

You'll spend a small fortune trying to get a mechanical keyboard to sound like a membrane. Most folks can drop a US kilobuck and still fall short.

I like my K70 MK2 but my main ZQSD keycaps are starting to wear out. Can't say it felt spectacularly different from my old logitech one with their proprietary switches I had b4 this one.

I got my wrist rest and I will say for me it makes a world of difference. My palm isn't hitting bottom row keys any longer.
Easier to type on overall.

I'm trying out the k55 wrist rest bc I already have it and I'm a cheap bastard. I don't need no freakin' magnets! :)

Seriously though if I feel like it makes a difference I guess I will look into the ebay route as well

So I have decided I hate the volume scroll wheel. It's way too sensitive and too easy to accidentally touch it and max it out blowing my speakers off my desk. Did that this morning, sending the wife running in here to ask WTF I was doing.

BUT ... I found this. "Quiet On The Set". https://github.com/troylar/quiet-on-the-set?tab=readme-ov-file

Freeware app that lets you set a maximum volume limit and lock it. Uses a massive 8mb of memory while running in background.

@Grimlakin

You are right!!! I cannot believe what a difference the wrist rest made. I've never bothered with one before, but with this thing being so sensitive it really made a difference! My speed is picking back up.
