Custom PC Builders Launch Liquid-Cooled AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT LC with Reference Design

Maingear and PCSpecialist have published their landing pages for the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT LC, a liquid-cooled variant of red team’s flagship RDNA 2 graphics card. Sculpted in a design that looks like it came straight from AMD’s design team, the liquid-cooled GPU features 5,120 Stream Processors, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 18 Gbps on a 256-bit interface, and a game/boost clock of 2,250 MHz/2,435 MHz. I actually like the look of that shroud. I hope they are cooling the VRMs and everything though.

120 AIO and 2 8pins, are these really that efficient?

Can't wait to see some benchmarks and reviews for this beast! The radiator seems a little anemic though. Seems like nothing shy of 360mm should be used for these high-end cards but it sure is snazzy looking.

Yeah, a single 120mm rad for a 325W card is ... pushing things

Although... I just went and looked up a run-of-the-mill 120 radiator (Koolance HX-422) and found this:

So based on that graph - so long as you have at least a halfway decent fan and pump, a 120W could cool 325W adequately... and much more if you want to put some screaming fan on it. It all just depends on the fan/pump.

Now, 25C dT is pretty high. That means that the water would be running around 50C, and your compnents under that some order higher still.

But

This would be a bit more sane - the water would be around 40C, stuff under there somewhat warmer depending on thermal density and conductivity of the mounting/etc-- still shows you could push a 325W TDP, but here you'd need a ~good~ fan behind it.

Yeah, I would still rather have seen a double or triple in there, but appears "possible" at least to run a single, if it's engineered properly.

The cost to upgrade from a 3060 in the build to the AIO 6900XT is $2227. Ouch!
