Bitcoin may be the preferred payment method for those who wish to remain anonymous, but that doesn't mean it's untraceable. Case in point: the US Department of Justice announced today it had taken down the dark web's largest child pornography website and charged hundreds of its associates, who were found by tracing Bitcoin transactions.

“Through the sophisticated tracing of bitcoin transactions, IRS-CI special agents were able to determine the location of the Darknet server, identify the administrator of the website and ultimately track down the website server’s physical location in South Korea,” said IRS-CI Chief Don Fort. “This largescale criminal enterprise that endangered the safety of children around the world is no more."

Death penalty is too quick. Hire some S & M people to put the *ahem* squeeze on them. (No safety words, either)

Great! More of the sites exploiting children need to be taken down and perps hit with the maximum the law allows.
