Twelve of Denon and Marantz’s HDMI 2.1 receivers are affected by a compatibility issue that prevents them from properly passing 4K/120 Hz and 8K/60 Hz content from Microsoft’s flagship console, the Xbox Series X. A fix has now arrived in the form of an HDMI adapter kit called the SPK618, which corrects the problem by delivering corrected HDMI data to the receivers. While the solution is an unsightly one that requires its own AC adapter, affected users can receive the SPK618 at no cost by registering on Denon and Marantz’s HDMI adapter sites beginning on May 15...

At least they stepped up and fixed the issue. The only way they could have handled it better would have been to just upgrade them to an entire new 2021 model, but I can understand where that isn't practical. This was a lot better than most companies would have done.
I have to agree with you here, we have all seen companies just walk away from product problems before.
The fact we see a solution from them at all is welcomed.
