Deus Ex Remastered Arrives for PC and Consoles on February 5, 2026, with New Visual Enhancements and Character Models

Looks like a lazy cashgrab. For shame, this game deserves a proper modern remake.

“This remaster isn’t just a visual upgrade, but a preservation of Deus Ex’s DNA
When you try to sell not updating it as a feature. I mean this game was a bit clunky even by 2000 standards, not updating the AI, the level design, the combat mechanics is inexcusable.

Also Ryzen 5800 and RTX 2080 for this? These people are insane! This game used to run on a TNT2.

That would be cool. Never played any of them but I might give this a try after the price drops a bit. $30 ain't bad, but not great either since it's not one of my favorites and more than a few are saying the visual upgrades are not good as they could be.

While watching the vid I was also thinking "geez, these updated graphics look like hot kaka". Quake Live has better graphics, and that's browser based lol

I have played most of the Deus ex games but imo they are not that great, the new ones are pretty tough imo, don't think I finished any of those, might have finished the first one, can't remember, too long ago.

They want you to think you have multiple options to get things done, and that's all fine at the start, but this get's less and less the further you advance in the game, maybe it's too much work to implement consistently and/or it's hard to justify builging levels wioth all this in mind and the building still making sence idk.

That's what most folks are saying. I do see some improvements but nothing as drastic as seen with any of the RTX Remixes or Nightdive remasters. I'm kind of guessing the studios involved might not have thought there would be enough interest to warrant a larger investment into it.

Herecy, Deus Ex is the single greatest game ever made, period.

This problem is true only for the modern reboot Human Revolution (I know officially it's a prequel but I can't take it seriously as such)

In the original DeusEx you absolutely have multiple options in almost all situations, and multiple doesn't mean 2 or 3 but 5-6 in many cases. But since they are not telegraphed like in HR, you have to figure out the alternates for yourself, so you might not be aware of some of your options even after 10 playthroughs.

DeusEx despite not being true open world is more replayable than any other game I know.

The sequel DeusEx Invisible war is often overlooked but it's also a good game, unfortunately with a few major faults, but despite those problems I still like it. The worst thing about it is that it was designed to run on the original XBOX which forced them to slice up all maps into much smaller ones, far smaller than what we had in even the first game. As a result it feels claustrophobic. But the most idiotic choice they made is to do away with multiple ammo types causing everything from the BFG9000 to the cattle prod to use the same ammo. Meaning if you run out of ammo you can't use any weapon. IMO the only way to enjoy the game is to use some infinite ammo cheat.

Human Revolution is the game where they tried to push the "multiple options to progress" so hard that levels are designed around that and not common sense, so it has idiotic things like a vent going literally from one side of a barrier to the other and nowhere else. Or the "hidden back route" providing more direct access to locations than the main entrance. So it's very immersion breaking.

Mankind Divided ironed out many problems of HR, but it's half a game that just ends abruptly in the middle of the story. If you don't mind that it's a far better game than HR.

So all in all, the only truly perfect game in the series is the first, but the issue there is that it is too outdated by today's standards to be recommendable. I was hoping for a full remake, if any game deserves it it's this and not the Kojima slop that is being remade.

Deus Ex games are one of my favorite franchises; I adore Human Revolution and Mankind Divided. However, I have never played the original Deus Ex. This might be an opportunity to give it a whirl.

From the way things look, I think you are better off playing the unofficial community made "remaster" called Deus Ex Revision.
