Hopefully in two to three years, we should be able to visually upgrade older titles safely like this without any fear of hardware damage.
Explains why Apple wants nothing to do with them after the GPU bumpgate fiasco. Nvidia has always been an arrogant company and don't care about taking responsibility for their mistakes. And the sad thing is that consumers are the enablers. And ironically they are the ones most shafted by Nvidia. Talk about Stockholm Syndrome. And here we thought leaf blower GeForce FX 5800's were a problem. We had no idea how good we had it.
The one least wanting to do that is Nvidia because they know that's an easy goal to reach for their competition.Perhaps they need to introduce yet another standard for normal 3d, simple, clean drivers, clean API, etc, no bloated mess, to allow the regular 3d proportion , the power use to become more efficient and compact.
