DOOM: The Dark Ages Will Be the “Most Ambitious DOOM Game to Date” When Prequel Launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox App for Windows PC, Steam, P...

Thanks, I mixed up the dates because I got an email notification from Steam or something on the weekend saying it was available for early install.

I remember when Doom 3 came out, playing it at ID software headquarters, with John Carmack in the room showing us how the game works, benchmarking the game before release for a review. What an amazing experience.

I really enjoyed that game, and Doom Eternal, can't wait for this new one.

Absolutely incredible experience you got to have there! Gawd dayaaaaaamn that is so f*cking awesome!!!

Funny story about that too, we brought in our own computers and hardware to do the testing, I brought in this dinky little small cheap arse keyboard to use since it was very portable, and John Carmack sat at the keyboard to do some typing in the command line, and we were cringing at him trying to use this cheap stupid of crap keyboard that was hard to type on. Yeah, not a great moment for me

That's awesome and perfect. It's funny how once-in-a-lifetime moments usually involve something totally unorthodox or ridiculous.

I once got to meet Richard Hatch (RIP original Apollo BSG) and Anne Lockhart (Sheba) at a comic con. Both were incredibly nice, I can't emphasize enough how nice they were to me and my wife, and giving autographs for free and offered to let me take a picture with them. So many folks wouldn't even talk to you unless you flashed a $5-$50 at them but these two were so humble. I had brought a camera, not to get pictures taken with celebs but just in case I saw something interesting since it was my first comic ocn. F-ing thing (digital) kept giving grief and ended up with several pics with them after it finally started working again. Ironically later on I found out his family was from NM (f-ing duh, Hatch NM) later on when he passed.
