Legendary Entertainment has confirmed that Dune: Part 3 is now in the early stages of development following a new deal. The acclaimed director has previously said that he wanted to complete the main story of Paul Atreides as a trilogy.

However, he recently said in December 2023 that he’d need a break before tackling the third movie but it sounds like Legendary Entertainment is hoping to keep the train moving full steam ahead with the director helming multiple projects.
They better let him take a break, before he gets burned out and the quality of the next movie suffers as a result. On the other hand, they sure took their sweet time getting part 2 out. The first book should not have been split into 2 movies. Still haven't seen part 2, cuz I'm waiting to check out a digital BD from the "community library".

Hey if the Director and talent are all about it then keep it running.

I really think how the Lord of the Rings trilogy was shot was a master class in episodic filming.
