During EA’s Q4 2020 earnings call, CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that the publisher would be releasing fourteen new games in the 2021 fiscal year (April 1, 2020 until March 31, 2021). VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb has published the purported list of titles, which includes something that many BioWare fans have been pleading for: an HD remaster of the Mass Effect Trilogy.
There aren’t any details on how the games are being revamped yet, but we can probably expect proper 4K support via higher-quality textures. All three Mass Effect titles still sound and play great, so it’s hard to imagine what else will be changed – although if EA and BioWare really want to do fans a solid, they may considering amending that horribly received Mass Effect 3 ending, which many still haven’t lived down.
