Problems with NVIDIA's GPU power connector do not seem to be going away, as more veteran hardware reviewers continue to experience them.

Its cause these so called veterans can't stick it all the way in. Perhaps age, perhaps wear, I dont know.

We test a ton of cards. I use one 2x6 purchased from Corsair and one 2x6 that came with an Enermax psu. I honestly hate them. They are difficult to insert. Even more difficult to remove.
I do have a Corsair in my personal 4090 and so far so good, but its only been inserted once.
Ive not had any issues yet at all, but thats not much comfort.
Now AMD cards are using 2x6. I tested a 9070XT Nitro with the 12V-2x6.....so its a thing now.
