How big is your radio dish?

Not bigger than the Australians sadly.

The Australian ASKAP (Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder) has 36 antennas for tracking pulses like radio waves and such!

"The sub-arcsecond localization for FRB 180924 allows us to uniquely identify the host by combining public observations from the Dark Energy Survey (20) with deeper images of the field we obtained with the Very Large Telescope (VLT), long-slit spectra with the Gemini South Telescope, and integral-field spectra with the Keck-II telescope and the VLT (see (17) for details of instrumental setups)." - Science Mag

Who wants to put that in their backyard?

Story

@IceDigger Thanks for the post. Very cool story. I also love that I learned about a really neat site I didn't know about. Brings me back to the days of reading science digest back in the 80's.
