There has been a lot of talk about chiplet designs and the pro’s and con’s to this approach for increased performance. Lurking like a sleeping dragon the ongoing issue of heat dissipation is always hiding around a corner. AMD fully embraced the chiplet design with their Ryzen 3000 series processors. Famous overclocking specialist der8auer has created a custom bracket to address potential heat dissipation issues for AMD’s current chiplet design.

Interesting. Neat and well executed idea, but that seems like a lot of work for a max theoretical gain of 10°. Does this phenomenon apply to all coolers or waterblocks, or just aio’s with smaller jet plates?
Amd auto overclock is fairly aggressive, doe this lead to better numbers? I only noticed the delta t discussed in that and nothing about actual performance gains. I could have missed it for sure though.

10 degrees isnt to be sniffed at, degrees C that is.
