Possibly fewer than 2,000 iOS users have chosen to purchase the latest port thus continuing a sluggish trend for console gaming on Apple mobile devices. However, as reported in June by Mobilegamer.biz, this is far from the first DOA console game to be seen on iOS.

Believe it or not, iOS Is a gaming juggernaut. Just not with Console/PC AAA ports that don't lend themselves well.

Tons of F2P cash shop, whale-driven, carbon copy time waster games though.

Apple is right up there with any other major game developer though, so don't take this news as "Awww, poor Apple can't sell games"

Yep, they do mention that the non-AAA stuff does amazingly well. Basically their target audience are the folks who don't play the major releases.
