The Core i9-14900KS, Intel's next Special Edition processor, will be able to reach boost clocks of up to 6.4 GHz on MSI motherboards, according to a screenshot that the chi11eddog account shared this morning of an updated MSI BIOS that includes a series of new "P-Core Beyond" overclocking profiles, including one for "6.4/5.8 GHz."

Could be lower if it is a very good sample... but if it's a mediocre one like my 12700K, 5.1GHz will eat up 300W...

If it's a crappy unit that would fail @Paul_Johnson's testing, possibly. A decent unit would be stressed but should power through.
