Is Nvidia Working on mGPU Support?

3Dfx V2 12MB SLI was my first mGPU

First and really only mGPU setup was a Viper330 and a V2 12mb. I've been meaning to try crossfire with my r9 290s or rx 480s (does it even work with polaris?) but not been real motivated to bother in the last 2-3 years.

If we could get win10 to work well with two different brand chips in one system so that I can switch to whichever card runs a game best I'd be willing to try it again.

I'm all for it, as long as they ****can AFR once and for all.

The ONLY good way to do mGPU is to have the GPU's split each frame among each other. How that is implemented and how they are split I'll leave up to implementation, but any solution which alternates frames between GPU's is a non starter. It may scale better, but it is a Dyno queen benchmark only. Split frames have much worse scling, but the performance improvements they provide are more "real".
