We all know the steam deck can't drive that resolution so why bother?
 
Since this is using USB-C to connect to the deck, and I'd be surprised if the next one doesn't also include one, I could see this stand getting used for the next deck. It could also be interesting to see a 1440p or high-framerate 1080p hooked up.

Personally I've found, with hdmi stuff such as this hub, its best to buy over spec as much as possible. Im sure hdmi in theory is all exact and clean.
 
HDMI 2.0 is nice but honestly, 2.1 is the sweet spot. At full bandwidth 2.1 finally gets HDMI to Display Port levels but for something like this 2.0 is definitely about as much as the device could hope to use.
