News flash - it's been that way since.. the iPhone was introduced.

iPhone has been their most popular product since it was introduced. Before that it was the same story with the iPod - it was more popular than Macintosh computers too.

Macs have never captured that much of the market share. It's always been this way. There are a lot of factors behind that and this isn't really news, or all that surprising.

Apple . . .it's where you go for those 2 or 3 programs that it excels at it, and are designed for it, but otherwise, its biggest impact has been in the mobile sector. There was a time, in IIe era, when it truly competed with others on multiple fronts but that was about it. After that, it was a purposeful design to separate itself from the pack and in turn, has led to a decline in its adoption gains. Apple silicon might make a change in the coming years but by then Arm will have already taken its own foothold even without Apple.
