This seems to be a delivery to meet contract demand... and hopefully clear out old stock.

Yep, I can only imagine the amount of facepalms that have happened in these offices over the last few weeks as news of this headset's failed sales surfaced. They may've just announced this but it's hard to believe that it hasn't already been in development for some time beforehand.
