Missing/reapearing drive

New bios for mobo is out, tried it, pc would not run anymore, kept getting some windows needs rpair error, could not even get the repair to start or boot from install media, bios was garbled at times, after a lot oftrial and error bios flashback saved me (for now) back on the previous stable bios atm

How strange my boss went through the same thing with his thread ripper box (older 12 core).

One of the strange things is that I could not get memtest to work previously because the USB stick did not show up in bootable devices despite trying front and back USB ports.

When I tried it again a couple days ago, the same untouched USB stick did show up in the bios just fine this time, I'm tempted to get a different mobo and RMA this one.

Check for anything shorting the motherboard first from the back? No clue man.

Also I forgot to mention, at a point I noticed ICUE was not launching anymore at startup, and while the software was still on my PC and working fine if starting it manually, it was no longer in the load on startup options abnd not in installed apps, reinstalling fixed all that, this machine seems cursed.

I had a cursed PC once. Would just randomly reboot for no discernable reason. For years. Sometimes it would be horrible, 2-3 times a day. Other times it would go a couple of weeks. I swapped out darn near everything on that build. I did finally get it fixed, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was that ultimately fixed the issue. I ~think~ it was a DIMM on that as well, it finally failed totally, and Kingston actually replaced after like 6 years under Lifetime warranty.

To make things more interesting this error pops up now for the last few reboots whatever that means

The fun continues, This afternoon I put my pc to sleep to walk the dog and dinner etc.. when I come back the pc is on and the cooling is going full tilt for no reason, wallpaper on monitor 2 has changed and when I want to change it back I only seem to have 2 monitor 2's, couple reboots later I'm stuck on the bios boot screen saying issues with CPU fan which again goes nuts after a couple seconds.

Finally got back into windows only to see icue is saying my pump has failed, ran 3dmark and some games to see temps, highest I got was 87.4 which is pretty toasty but no overheating so far, also been checking for a new cooler for a while, put the pc to sleep again, I wake it up from sleep half an hout later and cooler seems fine again.
