Pretty cool stuff and yep, I'd be wary of the price. However still happy to see tech like this coming out as I use a pair of these:


I have one for our car stereo (Sony XAV-9000 ES) with a lifetime's amount of audio in hi-res (from 24/48 up to 384/32) and straight flac CD-rips and then another attached to our living room TV with a ton of video concerts (it's just sometimes too much of a pia to stream from the router and I'm mostly done with HTPCs now).
