The MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X has already been canceled following a request from NVIDIA for MSI to recall it. The MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X had only just been listed in Asian markets, some were even shipped to retailers, but it didn't take long for the new card based on a previous generation to get noticed due to the inclusion of "SUPER" in its name. NVIDIA had previously introduced the SUPER line of graphics cards with its Turing-based RTX 20 series GPUs and has not used it since so there was some confusion regarding this new card which led to it asking MSI to recall it.

Meanwhile, MSI has removed it from its website and asked for retailers to send them back but some could've made it into the wild and will likely become highly sought-after collector's items for those seeking rare products with botched marketing. MSI could potentially try to rebrand these in order to sell them still so don't be surprised to see a MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SURPIM X show up in the recent future. Interestingly the confusion with this card mirrors similar instances with NVIDIA's lower-to-mid -tier cards such as its x50, x60, x70, and Ti variants. These tiers are routinely refreshed or re-released with changes such as increased VRAM or even upgraded GDDR memory which has also led customers and retailers, to wonder which version to get.

Why am I not surprised.

This is what Agile processes get you when doing product delivery and rollout. Everyone is so concerned with speed of execution by the time someone asks SHOULD we do this the answer is too far gone.

What's the big deal. Someone is getting their job a bit too serious. Then again toss it all to the wind can mean billions. But this one, wow SUPER big deal /s. Just call it a throwback, since this is what it is. Vintage reserve maybe.
