20th Century Studios is developing a new Alien film, but it will seemingly feature far less of the grizzled veterans that headlined the previous movies. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the new movie from Evil Dead director Fede Alvarez has found its latest cast members in the form of David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu, all of whom appear to be young and upcoming actors, hinting at a new horror piece that will show how newer generations might fare against the franchise's deadly Xenomorphs. The new movie, which will also star Isabela Merced (Transformers: The Last Knight), is set to begin production in Budapest this week on Thursday, March 9.

Oh god.
It could go either way, but most likely as mentioned above.

On the one hand, I'm glad Scott isn't doing this. On the other, it can always get worse.

You know which way it is going when you look at the perfectly geometrically diverse cast.
I swear Hollywood is in a similar relationship with wokeness as Square Enix with blockchain.

Oh Hollywood, why can't you have a single original idea? Why must we continue milking the corpses of movies that passed their prime 25+ years ago
The thing is that there is plenty of mileage in these franchises, like take for example Alien Isolation.
You just need the right people and the right attitude. Neither of which exists in current day hollywood.
