We finally have a good look at what Robert Pattinson’s Batman will look like. Director Matt Reeves (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) uploaded a camera test to Vimeo today, which shows the actor bathed in red light and dressed to the nines in what appears to be The Batman’s primary suit.
The footage doesn’t show the Batsuit in its entirety, but the costume designers were evidently inspired by the armor-like variations made popular by Christopher Nolan’s films and the Arkham series of Batman games. The most interesting aspects of the costume appear to be the chest logo and cape.
The former looks as if it’s actually weaponry, comprising one or two steel batarangs that can be pulled out on a whim. As for the cape, there’s a standing collar now, which has never been seen before in a Batman film...
