A new 20-minute 4K gameplay video for Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance has been released by IGN. Developed by Tuque Games, it is a spiritual successor to Baldur’s Gate Dark Alliance. Up to four players can team up to take on evil monsters in a DnD-styled RPG brawler. A shorter gameplay trailer was previously released showcasing an epic boss battle with a beholder named Hagedorn. I'd give it a try. Not the most stunning game I have seen lately

Reminds me of Vermintide. I'd probably give it a shot, depending on price

The original Dark Alliance games were nothing special if memory serves. It doesn't look like they changed much aside from a modern coat of paint looking at this gameplay aside from going third-person instead of isometric.

Yep, it's kind of sad that DnD still hasn't managed to create a truly definitive IP after all these decades. I grew up playing it and have always been shocked at how many others do a better job. There've been a few here and there that stand above just a bit but middle of the road seems to be the high target.

Neverwinter Nights still seems to be the one that got closest even after all these years.

I'd always hoped for a good Ravenloft or Dark Sun. I do remember the Dark Sun that came out, but best to forget.
The pay-to-win Neverwinter MMPORG has a Ravenloft component, but I have always wished for a good standalone RPG based on that as well.
