So I purchased for work an external encrypted NVME 1TB to back up work documents and such.

It came with a little USB C cable. Backing up to it via that I would hit 2-300MB a second. Went to backup a different system using a cable I had sitting around... 30mb a second maybe 40. Swapped to the short cable that came with it... rockets right back to old speeds if not a little faster depending more now on the size and quantity of files being copied to it.

Just thought I would share. 2 hour copy dropped to a handful of minutes.

Drive is a Sandisk Extreme Pro Nice external NVME.

Apple's USB-C Charging cable that they provide with their phones, tablets, etc. is only wired for USB 2.0 Data connectivity... Mind boggling that they would ship a device that's USB-C capable, and a USB 2 data cable..

Yep from USB to HDMI I can't count how many cables haven't lived up to the rate specs they're supposed to have. It really sucks too because even if I find one I like I'm nervous about recommending it because I can't guarantee someone else will get a good one like me.
