NVIDIA Is Reportedly Requiring Board Partners to Have at Least One MSRP Model for Its GeForce RTX 5060 Series Launch

The last time I rolled into Micro Center not too long ago (before 9070 launch), there were plenty of 5070 and 5070 Tis on the shelves. Some employees said there were a decent amount of 5090s and some 5080s in the back room, but none of them are selling because their prices are all insane.

Today I wouldn't be surprised. The FOMO has died down. People have burnt their upgrade funds up on stuff like CPU's, motherboards, ram, and Storage, new cases, fans, and new power supplies... not that I'm.... ok I was that guy... one of them I'm sure.

The laugh-worthy part of this, is that yesterday I saw multiple articles with this same pic - all saying they sold out before end of day.

The price is that high and they are ~still~ selling out

I must be in the wrong line of work or something.

Here's one - probably all the same usual suspects that just cite the same news source

A Reddit user shared an image from Micro Center Dallas, where we can see the elusive RTX 5090, one of the best graphics cards, in stock. The catch is that you'll need to pay close to $4,000 to get your hands on one, assuming they haven't sold out yet. Spoiler: The comment section suggests they have, and we've verified the status on Micro Center's website.

Seems like the mad rush is definitely tapering off. My local MC has two different models of 5080's on store shelves.... sure the markup from original MSRP is nearly 50%... buy hey they are there.

Yet the AMD 9000 series are sold out. And they've been better about a regular stream of stock coming in.
