Oh no. This is disastrous for AMD's 9060 XT 8GB. They need to fire back with 9060 XT "greater than 9 GB but less than 16 GB" !!!!
10 or 12 GB. But I would like to see them do slower 18 GB. That would age better. So like ... 12?
the whole reason everyone is dropping out of the consumer race is because they can get sued by shareholders for not maximizing a return on investment. Privately owned is the way to go. We need the Arizona Tea company of ram manufacturers. When need some rich guy who loves gaming to invest in a new RAM company that manufactures RAM. This company should be "For gamers, by gamers" and only sell RAM to individuals.

Heck yea I do.So you watch The Fat Electrician also?
Honestly no need for 12 GB on a 5050. It's a 1080p card, and a low end one at that. I doubt there's a scenario where it'll use all 8 GB of the existing model. It's not like this thing is running psycho textures in CP2077.10 or 12 GB. But I would like to see them do slower 18 GB. That would age better.
I don't care about 5050. I'm worried about 9060 XT 8 GB. It's gonna look like really bad value next to 5050 9 GB, even for AMD loyalists.Honestly no need for 12 GB on a 5050.
I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion. The 9060 XT is, on average, about 25-30% faster. 1 GB of RAM difference means diddly squat.I don't care about 5050. I'm worried about 9060 XT 8 GB. It's gonna look like really bad value next to 5050 9 GB, even for AMD loyalists.

Starting to think Intel has already made this decision, although largely influenced by the DRAM shortage.via complacency that it's not worth investing in discrete GPU development anymore, at least for gaming.
