OpenAI has launched Sora, a new AI model that, while having no direct relation to the Kingdom Hearts character, is capable of letting users create what the AI research and deployment company has described as "realistic and imaginative" scenes simply through text. The model can be used to generate videos of up to a minute long, including movie trailers, CG sequences, and more.

Pretty much felt the same but couldn't resist being a little snarky about it. On the flipside I could see having some fun with it as well.

Someone will find a way to make it generate porn... then the money will start rolling in!

Its already happening with online ai influencers... Surely with adult material. Question is to what extent it will put out of the job people that rely on OF and such.
It could very well be a large portion.

Imagine being able to give porn consumers the ability to generate ANYTHING they want in Porn via a AI interface. Make it run locally and not report or show what they are doing and people will go bananas. It'll be like abusing someone online but a billion times worse because it's not online and nobody is being effected. The only question is will it be healthier for the world at large or worse?

**** that's a chilling concept. What if you can give whatever type of perversion that exists a completely safe completely private outlet without causing harm to anyone or anything else? Is that a good thing?

Giving people an outlet to go wild and affect nobody is a good thing. It's what videogames used to be before online multiplayer and the sensitivity police.

I tend to agree. It's still disturbing. Imagine if that works and some politicians private time is hacked and leaks out...

For private use Idgaf what they use it for, but guys who are upset their GF dumped them are already making fake nude pics and spreading them and this will ruin lives and lead to serious drama pretty quickly.

I don't even wanna know what these guys will do with movie like stuff.

I kind of see it the other way: if fakes are possible one can just claim it's fake so it makes even real revenge porn meaningless.

I almost see it as guys creating deepfakes of themselves. But that's just me.

As a pen and paper gamer it would be fun to create fake trailers for my characters . ;)
