PNY was seen at Computex showing off an RTX 5090 graphics card outfitted with the LYNK+ interconnect system, paired with a liquid-cooling AIO solution. As reported by VideoCardz, this is not the first time PNY has demoed a GPU using LYNK parts, but it is the first time a complete product has been on display. […]

Know what I want? An aftermarket AIO for my GPU. Why no one makes them I don't understand. Like if someone has a 5080 or 5090 (reference PCB) and just wants to add an AIO to it you'd think that would be an option.

GPUs are far from standardized unfortunately. Further, you need a whole custom plate for each variant.

They make water blocks for reference PCB's. Most of the low cost 5080's and 5090's are based on reference board design.

Sure, but you're still looking at a couple-dozen designs unless GPU manufacturers agree to conform to a standard that can be used with Lynk+.

Which could be possible, however doing so would remove some of the competitiveness of GPU air cooler designsmarketing.
