I've got a 2024 TCL, same here at 5,000 nits. Occasionally too bright, but there's still a handful of things where the content creator decided to make things just too d**n dark. I can't imagine anything this bright, though.

As someone who lives in the dark/low light, I turn the brightness down, not up. So displays like this are a waste to me. Why do I needed to be blinded by my screen? My previous monitor I think peaked out around 600 nits. I usually never had it more than around 80% brightness, maybe 85%. When an all-white webpage would appear on my screen, it was like I was flashbanged. So no thanks. I'm done having my eyeballs seared. People out here worrying about OLED burn-in, I'm concerned about burn-in for my own eyeballs.

My HiSense U8 has 5000 peak brightness and it's too bright in some situations.
