Everyone knew that Red Dead Redemption 2 would be coming to PC based on the ridiculous amount of money Rockstar Games has made from its GTA VI port, but now there's (even more) tangible proof. Game designer Jacobpo Colangelo has spotted a line in Social Club's source code alluding to PC accomplishments for the Western-themed hit.

Now, there is the slight possibility that "PC" could mean something else (e.g., player character), but the context seems pretty clear due to the mention of PS4 Trophies right after it. Those who want to look through the code themselves can do so here.

General consensus among many is either fall or winter 2019. Pure speculation but seems a like a reasonable guess that they wanted to give the consoles a year of exclusivity. Unlike the first one, this should be a pretty easy port. A lot of people holding out for that first one don't understand the coding nightmare it was for RS as they cobbled together and older engine, shoehorned new features into it, and numerous other oddities, to get it running. There's some good stories out there about how even some of the programmers were shocked it even ran. Marketing is about the only reason that might be holding up RD2.
