Have a history of driver timeouts now I guess I know why.

For Context:
---------------------------------------
Finally with a freeze followed by a reboot and Asus post code 97 - GPU Failure to initialize.

If I try over and over it will occasionally post, however there is very obvious video corruption as vertical lines of strange character looking artifacts.

Sapphire support was polite and prompt to let me know I was out of warranty and when I asked about other options - repairs, what have you, for a senior on a fixed income it was a 'nope none of that' type response.

Overall I really like the GPU and performance was still quite good for what games I play.
---------------------------------------

So...... to my actual question:

Anyone have experience with the various mail in repair services I am finding on the web?

Places like: EWEL and/or ZapFixers? Or any others? Any recommendations for or against?

Thanks,

-EB

Sorry to hear this, my last Sapphire support experience was not very good either. They make good cards, but with only 2 years of warranty, my next card will likely be an AsRock or something with at least 3 years of warranty. Unfortunately I don't have much information on GPU repairs, but I did watch a Louis Rossman video recently, he runs an electronics repair shop, maybe reach out to his business?

I happen to have upgraded to a 5090 so my 7900xtx is for sale... ;)
