Some stats for a, as of yet, unknown Intel CPU have been discovered. Tom’s Hardware has reported on a sighting on the SiSoft database. It shows some rather unusual statistics leaving people wondering if it may be a new architecture or fab. It has been noted that it’s being tested in a server/workstation. Some specs:
  • 6c/12t @ 2.99Ghz
  • L2 Cache 1.2MB
  • L3 Cache 9MB
There’s still speculation all over the map regarding if this is a potential Ice lake, Tiger lake, Rocket lake CPU. Since there were 2 of these CPU’s in the server the database shows 24 threads in use. The only thing known for sure is that it was tested in a server. The L2 cache is significantly larger than the previous Coffee lake which has only 256 KB. It also is in line with announced specs for Tiger Lake. This leads to the question of this being either a potential 10mm or 14mm fab.
