Oh wow.. Crack down achieve targets... then nefariou move to delay launch to avoid paying bonus.... sounds legit to me at first blush.
 
Yeah, normally I would go with publisher being bad given gaming industry history and I did. But having looked into the devs history and remembering stuff I'd forgotten about their Below Zero game's drama (I avoided most of the early access stuff and played at 1.0), I now put this drama at a 50/50 either side is guilty till more info comes out. Below Zero was quite the mess of a game and re-written and re-voiced near 1.0. That was my main complaint about the game, the disjointed two part story. The main premise for the main/player character was a side story that made little sense and could actually be mostly ignored to complete the game anyway.
 
Didn't know those details but was aware of some kind of controversy with Below Zero but I never played or read much about it. Honestly, I forgot all about it until reading up about this stuff.
