Wait, is this even real? Elon Musk has lifted the curtain off of Tesla's Cybertruck, and it looks completely surreal, like something out of a sci-fi movie or video game. Honestly, it's more like an armored vehicle than truck due to its flat, angular body, which is covered in "ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel." Three variants will be available, the most powerful being the $69,900 Tri Motor AWD model (0-60 MPH in under 2.9 seconds, 500+ mile range, and 14,000+ pounds of towing capacity).

Cybertruck is built with an exterior shell made for ultimate durability and passenger protection. Starting with a nearly impenetrable exoskeleton, every component is designed for superior strength and endurance, from Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass. If there was something better, we’d use it. Help eliminate dents, damage and long-term corrosion with a smooth monochrome exoskeleton that puts the shell on the outside of the car and provides you and your passengers maximum protection.

I'd drive on the moon, or Mars perhaps. It'd probably be safe to drive in the rough parts of Kansas City. ain't nobody gonna steal that.

There would be little girls dancing around where it's parked singing "U-G-L-Y you ain't got no alibi, you ugly!!"
Ah, such harmony....

Its growing on me though.
It crosses the rubricon of ugly in to huh.. ok

Someone said "Make it less curvy than the Model S and 3." And they did.

Well the triple motor one needs tank tracks and a roof mounted computer controlled six barrell mini gun, plus a flame thrower... You know for the zombie apocalypse.
Thinking about it .. this truck doesn't get anymore American...

Forgot the looks, it has some rpetty awesome truck features: 110v/220v/air compressor hookups. ramp from the tailgate. dynamic suspension, touch against rough work environments and off-road capable while towing an insane amount and driving smoothly.

Too bad that version will never hit market.

My prediction here -- the stripped out 7K towing version hits market in 2022 (two years later than promised).

The range is 330 miles nominal - the first reviewer hooks his boat up to the truck and gets a range of 120 miles.

Trucker Riots ensue, like no one in the world expected the range to go down when you tow.

But Tesla sells as many of these as they have the Model X, because it's Tesla and some people just want it to look pretty and get through pot holes -- much like 75% of the Wranglers and Hummers that were sold do.
