uto SR continues the current industry-wide trend of hardware manufacturers each providing their own type of upscaling technology. While AMD's FSR and Intel's XeSS do not require proprietary hardware to be used, Microsoft is, at least for now, following a similar path as NVIDIA with its DLSS technology, which requires specific silicon with AI features to operate.
