“We Are a Data Center First Company”, Says AMD CEO Lisa Su in a New Interview

I know a lot of us are hoping for the bubble to burst, and it's definitley spewing some leaks right now but we all know that nobody will completely abandon such enormous investments. They'll do whatever it takes to rework the money flow to reduce losses and more than a few of us have already seen a future where hardware will depend on cloud-based support to provide premium features; i.e. we're probably on a path for GPUs that depend on cloud options to provide next-gen features while they reduce the amount of hardware in a graphics card. It's a horrible concept, but this writing is also on the wall and whether provided in an APU/integrated solution or dGPU, it's almost inevitable. You think the you don't own what you purchased was bad, well, we ain't seen nothing yet. :(
Yep full GAS, and SAS is it, including windows is it. It will take a while, but computers, and entertaiment device aka consoles will be a more and more a service and license mill.

Based on the guidance from both companies, AMD is projected to earn more revenue than Intel for the first time in history, when this Q is over. Intel is currently far more reliant on client than AMD, and that's becoming a dystopian sci-fi flick called the Incredible Shrinking PC Market rated R for rekt. :p

-Ah boy well super happy for AMD and all but thanks to he who shall not be named we the American people have a 10% stake in Intel just as it begins sliding into irrelevancy.

The man truly has the Merde's Touch.

Clearly the dumber cousin, saying something like this just as AI data centers and neoclouds were wiped off by 1.5 trillion and downgraded to junk level for loans.

I never wanted AMD to absorb ATi to begin with.
I have read compelling arguments that the acquisition is what saved AMD as a company. For ATi we will never know what the future held. My own read living through all of it, is they would have been absorbed by some other company. There was no way they would have survived the boss battle including leather jacket debuffs and AoE.

The real irony is AMD wanted to acquire nVidia, but Jensen demanded to be CEO. Rumor has it Hector would not step down for Achilles....I mean Jensen, and we all know how that fight ended. 💀 That's when AMD went after ATi. That's my story, and I might stick to it.

Seems Jensen is the dumber one. Being called to Congress over an affair with a Chinese spy.

This is timing 100%. Wants to be investigated and case closed before new dem majority congress steps into power. I am betting on a hand swat 1-2 billion fine and nothing more. Then when later found to be much worse oops no you can't go after him it would be double jepordy.
