  1. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Rumored to Offer GeForce RTX 3070 Performance for under $500

$350-400 and I'd snag one to replace the 980Ti in my kids' computer.
  2. AMD Ryzen 7000 Series 16C/32T CPU Rumored to Feature 170-Watt TDP

16C/32T with what I will assume (for now) a nice bump in IPC and overall stellar performance, 170W TDP doesn't seem so extreme. The cooling solution, however...
  3. Sabrent Rocket 500GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD Review

Excellent review - thank you! Glad to see some of these 4.0 NVMe drives starting to drop in street price.
  4. Next Star Trek Movie Dated for 2023

I rather enjoyed the Kelvin timeline movies, once I shut out all the agenda virtue signaling injected here and there.
  5. AMD's 2013 vs 2020 Flagship

I clearly remember the 290X becoming my most recommended GPU for its price range after ATI lowered the price and tweaked the driver to give it quite a boost in performance...and I've been an exclusive nVidia user since the TnT2 days. That 290X was quite the powerhouse of a GPU back then.
  6. Arctic Unveils New 0-Decibel RGB Case Fans

I've been using Arctic case fans exclusively for almost a decade. These just might end up in my case for my recent 5800X build, since I'm reusing my non-RGB F12 and F14 PWM fans.
  7. Hasbro Unveils $700 Programmable Optimus Prime Robot That Can Self-Transform

I imagine that would be worth a pretty penny if kept in the sealed packaging in about 20 years or so. Pretty cool.
  8. Sales of 8K TVs Expected to Reach $5 Billion in 2021

Here's my current usage. This is with 480p to 1080p streaming, depending on what we are watching. Plus a couple of game downloads. 8K is definitely something that is completely infeasible, unless I want to pay about 50% more per month for unlimited data...which isn't going to happen since...
  9. Sales of 8K TVs Expected to Reach $5 Billion in 2021

I can't even fathom what 8K content would do to my ISP overage charges. Heck, I had to limit my streaming to 1080p on my 4K televisions just to keep from hitting the data cap.
  10. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Founders Edition Review

Wow...this is looking like the best current option for 1080p or 1440p with high refresh. Going to feel like a true competitive market again once the Radeon 6000 series drops. Well, depending on their price points. Thanks for the amazing review!
  11. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Game-Crash Issues Caused by Weaker Capacitors, Limited QA?

I've been trying like crazy to find the ASUS TUF 3080 in stock and snag one, but I'm thinking this new information is going to make it even harder, now. I just hope ASUS doesn't cheap out and reduce the number of MLCC arrays going forward since they now have confirmation that their Ampere...
  12. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition Review

Yeah, it's time to hand down the 980Ti to the kids computer and get a 3080...if I can manage to actually place an order before they go OoS.

  16. Possibly upgrading to Ryzen 7 platform - help wanted

Hello everyone, After a weekend staycation and some gaming, I've really started noticing my computer's age. Looking to possibly upgrade, although I may just put it off until the next-gen GPUs and AMD CPUs emerge, probably in about another year from now. CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X MoBo: Asus X570 TUF...
  17. MSI MEG X570 Unify Motherboard Review

Wow, thank you for all the insight and advice, @Dan_D Much appreciated!
  18. MSI MEG X570 Unify Motherboard Review

Nice review, and nice MoBo! I'm thinking of going MSI for the next overhaul (R7 3700X). Here would be my typical usage scenario: - Use the AMD Wraith HSF - No CPU OC'ing (primarily gaming, so I'm more focused on the GPU) - All DIMM slots populated (4x8GB single rank modules) - Single GPU...
  19. Windows 10 Gets Prettier: Microsoft Begins Rolling Out Beautiful New Icons for Insiders

I like these new icons. I'm no longer opted in to the Insider builds, but it'll be cool when they get released in a future public revisionary update.
