The Ryzen 7 9700X and Ryzen 5 9600X, the first of AMD's new Zen 5 desktop processors for delivering what the company says is world-class performance for gamers and creators, are now available for $359 and $279, respectively, but most people are avoiding them and saving up for the Ryzen 9000X3D Series with 3D V-Cache technology instead, according to the latest sales numbers from Mindfactory, one of Germany's most popular electronics retailers.

Yeah the 9700x and 9600x are not processors that people are waiting for and sell out day 1.

Well, @Brent_Justice has addressed the price point issue for the 9000 vs 7000 series in his reviews by acknowledging that right now AMD is essentially competing with itself, and until inventory dries up for the 7000 series, and then prices drop for the 9000s, most folks are going to opt for the 7000 because there's not much reason to upgrade. On the flipside, we're also used to seeing firmware/driver updates improving the performance of AMD products so the 9000 series could become impressive as time goes on.

Meanwhile, yep, the 7800X3D has been getting discounts for the last six months, and by BF there could be some really good deals.

I'm honestly upset with myself for being somewhat bull headed and not giving AMD a try earlier.
