I know it's probably a sin to post about a pre-built rig but on sale this really looks like a decent buy for someone just starting out and wanting solid 1080p/1440p performance levels and still having options to expand upon later.

Solid 1080p? More like blisteringly fast 1080p.
1440 would be solid and it could probably dabble in 4k.
 
My issue with that build is it isn't 100% SSD/NVME. Platter drives below in a lower tier or for external storage for your family pictures and such.

I do need to say though for the price that isn't bad.
