Multiple hardware manufacturers were asked which is better: using an adapter or the included PSU cable, and not all gave the same answer.

That's correct. My 5080 came with an adapter to use 3 or 4 PCIe cables. My PSU came with the correct 12VHPWR so I'm using that.I always figured the adapter was for people using an older power supply lacking the correct PSU cable.
Did anyone test a bunch of PSU's to see if this holds true?the power is also not evenly distrubted amongst the wires, so it's unbalanced,
Funny if it does - that would be an easy thing to fix on the cardDid anyone test a bunch of PSU's to see if this holds true?
It was either GN or De8auer that tested that. Found that some wires were pulling an unusually high amount of current while others almost nothing.Along with the safety margin issue, the power is also not evenly distrubted amongst the wires, so it's unbalanced, and can create too much load on one wire, basically. It's a flawed system.
So I did some minor digging. Can anyone post a link to where this device can actually be ordered? This should've been builtin on the PCBs from day 1 and might've prevented any meltdowns.
