Thanks everyone for your replies. I decided to get the Schiit Fulla to pair with the Sennheiser headphones. I went with the Schiit due to its price, fairly favorable reviews, and its mic connection. I will update everyone on how I like it once it arrives.

I noticed they have pretty high ohms which (I think) means they require more power to drive them. Wouldn’t necessarily need to get their AMP versus a DAC I wouldn’t think?

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into them. Looks like there's a version that comes without an AMP for cheaper... I'm going to send back the X2HR... They definitely sound better for music than my current Samson SR850, but I'm a little underwhelmed with them for gaming. They are so open...

What did you tweak and how did you do it? My X2HR came in yesterday and they sound great for music (better than my SR850, which were already pretty good), but for gaming I don't seem to get quite the accuracy as my SR850's. It seems as though maybe they're just a bit too heavy on bass.

Well I was able to solve this -- I simply put my GPU tuning preset into "Power Saver" mode. No clock increase during the time I was in RDP (circled)

In regards to your performance, it's odd, but turning off Steam overlay or Steam FPS counter really boosted my fps. Many others are reporting the same issue.
