But hey, it's getting 21:9 support!

I admit I haven't gone back to it since getting a 32:9 display and when I've played it before it was simply on a single 1080p back in the day.It really already supported that. It ran fine on a 7680x1600 NVSurround setup I was running at the time it came out.
Based on the trailer, it looks like they simply made new textures for the game. Honestly, it looks pretty good. It will still show its age somewhat, but it should be a good experience. That being said, I am looking forward to playing an improved ME1.
I'm looking forward to playing ME1 for the first time.
I watched a... Gamestop video on it. It's all still UE3, through and through, perhaps upgraded visually as far as UE3 will let them, and with as many bug fixes that they could implement.
Mostly, higher-resolution, HDR, and high framerate support are all on the plate for the whole series, and your characters should stay consistent in look from beginning to end, which will be nice.
So yeah, still in.
I'm looking forward to completing all three for the first time. I never finished them but did do an extensive playthrough of Andromeda about a year or two ago which I know is very different on numerous levels. It's going to continue a trend that started for me last spring when I started my first complete playthrough of the Witcher games back to back. Almost done with the third now.I'm looking forward to playing ME1 for the first time.
Hopefully it isn't another poorly done remaster. The Crysis remaster was a let down to me. I agree that we should wait and see of course, as always, but expectations are low.
Bring Down the Sky was a free DLC, so why wouldn't it be in this? Especially with all paid DLCs being in the later games. Pinaccle station had no proper content, so maybe that's why it is left out. It was basically a fight with bots in virtual reality type deal. I only seen it once and it won't be missed. We also know that ME1 will have UI's and controls more in line with ME2 and ME3. That game has the most changes for obvious reasons. It will also have Bring Down the Sky DLC built into it, but Pinnacle Station won't be. (For some reason.)

Just read an article that the content files and source files for it were too corrupt to be used. Nobody had a good backup.Pinnacle station added similar content to what the Citadel DLC offered in ME3 beyond the story missions. You had an apartment and could go fight in a virtual arena, etc. Since they are sort of combining these games into a single thing, it would make sense to pull it for that reason. It's inferior, yet duplicate content. Beyond that, Pinnacle Station almost never worked. It was a technical fiasco.

I'm going to admit reading this thread, that as many times as I have played through the series, I have no idea what 'Pinnacle Station' is. I'll have to look it up. And at this point, I think I'll just forget that it's an issue and move on...That could be true, but frankly, it really doesn't add much to the experience.
I just watched Star Wars Episode IV (A New Hope) on Disney+. 4K, HDR 'remaster of remasters' of sorts. You can tell where the source files weren't good enough, but some scenes? Some actually do 4k justice.Just read an article that the content files and source files for it were too corrupt to be used. Nobody had a good backup.
The physical media versions really pop but the streaming isn't so bad IMHO. Totally sidetracking the thread but the ones that I thought were the worst were the prequels. That early digital stuff did not age well.I just watched Star Wars Episode IV (A New Hope) on Disney+. 4K, HDR 'remaster of remasters' of sorts. I say that to say the following: not having good backups for original content that has any value whatsoever is at least fiducially negligent.
