AVX512 was conceived to make faster rendering possible on CPUs. Too bad they pivoted to business use cases afterwards and fragmented the hell out of it.
Yes, everyone on The FPS Review BOINC team. A few of us have high core count Genoa CPUs. We're currently in a Primegrid challenge making these CPUs sweat.
I have 3x 96-core Genoa's myself. As well as 4 64-core EPYC Rome setups and a 32-core EPYC Rome setup. Plus some other CPUs in the competition at the moment.
